Run the API from Postman

The collection has one folder per tag and one request per operation, with the contract's examples filled in. The environment holds your key and the base URL.

Contract: openapi.yaml and the reference. Keys: the dashboard.

Step 1

Import the collection and the environment

Download both files from the repository:

In Postman choose Import and select both files.

Step 2

Set your key

Create a key in the dashboard. In Postman select the WeatherData API environment and paste the key into apiKey. The collection sends it as a Bearer token; /sources and /status send none. baseUrl defaults to https://api.weather-data.net/v1.

Step 3

Send a request, or run a folder

  1. Open a request, for example the station list, and choose Send.
  2. Optional query parameters are in each request but disabled; tick them to use them.
  3. To run a whole folder, choose Run on the folder and then Run. Each response carries its status and the rate-limit headers.

A 401 means the key is missing or invalid; a 429 means the key's limit is exhausted and Retry-After says when to try again. See Test the API for the response shapes and the problem format.
